Although I believe children can have a sixth sense about many things, this story left me confused. We were led to believe that the child did not know about the purchase dealings of the farm, yet she knew the visitors had expressly come to the farm to sell a parcel of land. I might have been more apt to believe the events if the child was aware of the farms pending acquisition of additional property. Outside of this confusion, I found the story to be touching. I really enjoyed the descriptive details. I felt as though I could actually picture the farm. I also found it moving that after 92 years, the connection between the father and daughter was still there, even though there was no apparent connection in the childs' early years.
