Separation of Faith

This is the story of Robert, a web designer from Naples, Florida. When he finally decided to admit to his family that he was gay on his twenty-first birthday, he became convinced that his ultra-conservative relatives wouldn’t be able to accept his sexual orientation. In particular, he was too ashamed to face his grandmother, who had taken him to church every Sunday since he was a little boy.

Thin Thread: When cleaning out his grandmother’s home after her death two years later, he discovered in her bedroom a scrapbook that contained mementos of his childhood and adolescence. At the end, his grandmother had included photographs of Robert and his partner, and he finally realized that his family didn’t hold his sexual orientation against him.
