Stuck in Tennessee This story is far more light-hearted and musing. Anita and David, two clients I worked with last year, decided to pack all they owned into their SUV and move to Kentucky to work on a farm. It was an experiment in spontaneity, and they were excited to explore new places without jobs or family to hold them back. In Tennessee, however, their Explorer began to have mechanical trouble, and they broke down after they exited the freeway to take surface streets. Thin Thread: They were “rescued” by a husband-and-wife team from AAA, two extremely large and boisterous individuals who couldn’t believe that anyone would leave Dallas, Texas, for a place like Kentucky. The dialogue is what makes this story spark, and the penultimate moment when Anita and David decide to head back to Texas instead of going to Kentucky is hilarious.
