I thought the story was interesting but for some reason it didn't really flow to me... I think it would be better if you could vary the cadence of the sentences. The rythm seemed a bit repetitive and that made it a little harder to concentrate.
However - what an awesome experience!!! I really envy you! I love to travel as well and would love to experience all that you have! :*)
