That was a truly touching story. As someone who has struggled with my weight, I found it very inspiring.

I have been waiting to try to get the Lapband surgery. I have been having so much trouble getting it. A friend recently asked, "Do you think maybe God is throwing up all these roadblocks because you aren't supposed to have the surgery?" I've made one last attempt at getting it, and if it doesn't happen, I'll know it wasn't meant to be.

In the meantime, I've started my own "Biggest Loser" group of 15 moms in my town. We each put $5 in the kitty at the beginning of the month and whoever loses the biggest percentage at the end of the month gets all of the money. We are supporting each other, and our group has lost 35 pounds to date in the month we've been together.

I agree that this is very inspiring. I can only imagine the determination and hard work involved. I imagine wanting to live and not just observe life is a strong motivator...keep up the good work! I've only got 40 pounds to lose, but it's seemed like a major amount. This testimony definitely inspires me to keep going, to keep working...I'm praying all the way! Thanks for telling your story.

Wonderful story! How awesome that you were able to lose all of that weight on your own and not have to go through with the surgery! That's great!
