I wrote the above saying after suffering through housebound agoraphobia for several years but I think it holds true to this story, "Touchdown". I actually seen the Lifetime movie a few times before reading this here. Knowing the obstacles that he must face each day and his desire to conquer his foes gives a greater meaning to the word 'fighter'. Confused and often feeling alone...He never gives up! Few could find true meaning if met by the same circumstances but in the end, He finds victory in speaking to others. What a tremendous testiment of courage!

I can't imagine going through that myself or helping a family member with such traumatic injuries. It shows the true wonder of the human spirit. You never know what you are able to handle until you are handed the situation... God never burdens us with more than we can manage.

I am in awe of this man. There is no greater fear of mine than to lose who I am. He has, and his recovery is nothing less than miraculous. I enjoyed the "reality" of the struggle his family dealt with as he was healing emotionally and physically. Definitely an inspiration and it made me interested in getting the book mentioned.
